I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Limehurst High School. The school is one of the most successful in the country. We have maintained the traditional values of education, but we also make sure that our students are prepared for life in the 21st Century.
What makes a successful school? Ofsted inspectors look for high- quality teaching and learning, a curriculum that meets the needs of all students, a high level of student achievement, strong leadership and a pastoral care system that supports and nurtures all members of the school community. In all respects, Ofsted found us to be “OUTSTANDING”.
We recognise the huge importance of effective relationships between home and school. Parents have recognised the hard work and professionalism of our staff, and the caring nature of the school. Inspectors have always been impressed by the support parents give the school.
We are delighted that Limehurst has recently become a Specialist Sports College. Being a Sports College brings extra resources, facilities and staffing, and will have an impact across the whole curriculum, and not just in PE. Mathematics is our second specialist subject and the achievement of pupils in Maths is amongst the highest in the country. Inspectors said, “Achievement in Mathematics is exceptional. This is because of outstanding and innovative teaching.”
Collaboration with our partner schools in Loughborough is hugely important to us. Through this collaboration, we aim to ensure that the transition periods at age 11 and 14 are as smooth as possible for our pupils.
Visitors to Limehurst routinely comment on both the stimulating learning environment, and the welcoming atmosphere offered by staff and pupils. We are proud of our school and we would like to offer you the opportunity to see what makes the school so successful. If you would like to visit the school, please contact us so that we can make arrangements to show you around.
